All Night Graduation Party Rules
Every effort has been made to provide a safe environment for TJ's ANGP 2009.
Safety and Security
Medical volunteers will be present for non-emergency care.
Fairfax County Fire Marshalls have reviewed the plans and will inspect the site immediately before the party.
Fairfax County police officers will be outside the school. Inside, parent volunteers will provide interior security services.
Rules of Conduct
Only current graduates are welcome — no friends, relatives or underclass guests will be allowed to attend.
Graduates will not be allowed to enter after 12:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 14.
An accurate list of all persons present in the building is essential to party safety. Everyone must check in and check out.
Any senior (or adult) under the influence will be denied entry to the party, but will be invited inside the school to make appropriate arrangements for safe transport home. Police involvement will result if there is an apparent violation of the law.
General Information
Doors will open at 10:30 p.m. following the conclusion of graduation ceremonies at GMU, and will close at 12:00 a.m. Graduates MUST purchase tickets in advance in order to attend the party.
The party ends on Sunday, June 14th at 5:00 a.m.
The office phone will be manned during the party, but it will be very difficult to contact the school or parent volunteers after 5:00 a.m. on Sunday morning. Parents are encouraged to know the final destination of their graduates. Graduates must be present for the entire party to be eligible for the major prizes drawings.
As a courtesy, parents will be notified by telephone if a graduate who is scheduled to attend has not arrived by 12:00 a.m.; if a graduate arrives under the influence; or if a graduate leaves before 5:00 a.m.
After checking in, there should be no reason for students to return to their cars. If this is absolutely necessary, students will be escorted to and from their vehicles.
Transportation
Transportation to and from the party is a personal responsibility. There is no official transportation provided from the Patriot Center to TJ, or from TJ to home. After an all night party, fatigue is likely to be a risk for those driving themselves. We recommend that parents make alternative arrangements to ensure that their graduates arrive home safely.
Personal Belongings
Seniors will not be allowed to carry personal items (cameras, CD players, cell phones, backpacks, etc.) into the party. A secured "green room" will be provided to check any such items. Rooms will also be provided for changing from graduation wear into their "party duds."
