The Jefferson/Overseas Schools Technology Institute is a one week technology training experience for selected overseas educators. The 2001 Institute will offer training in three strands. Each strand is designed to reinforce specific concepts and ideas and to present information, skills, and applications. Participants will preselect one of the following three strands:
JOSTI is an opportunity for overseas educators to increase their awareness, understanding, and use of technology for instruction, library/media centers, inservice and administration in overseas schools. Directors, principals, library/media specialists, curriculum and computer coordinators, and classroom teachers who wish to learn or increase technology information, skills, and applications are invited to apply.
A/OS member schools are invited to send one or more participants. Technology training will be limited to 75 participants, 25 per strand. One participant per school will be given first priority in registering; others will be enrolled on a space-available basis.
JOSTI is being sponsored by the Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, Fairfax, Virginia, in collaboration with the Office of Overseas Schools.
